Dr. Lucy Rogers has found some personal ways to join CheerLights, from a light-up plaster cast to shoes that change colour. She’s also helped other people discover the project by sharing her builds and explaining how they work.

Her CheerLights cast turned something she had to wear into a Christmas tree. Her colour-changing shoes took the lights out for a walk. And her CheerLights orb tutorial shows how a Raspberry Pi, Node-RED, and a ping-pong-ball diffuser can become another way to display the shared color.
That’s one of my favorite things about this project. You can start with the same color as everyone else and make something that feels like yours. Lucy has done that, then shared enough for someone else to try.
Thank you, Lucy, for your creativity, your teaching, and your support of CheerLights.
The slide and some linked projects describe the earlier Twitter controls. To set the color now, join the CheerLights Discord server.
